Quite simply the best theatre experience I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying.

(I shan't bore you with the photos, don't worry!).

Fully interactive, with audience participation expected at every touch and turn. This is not a seated performance ... it's an immersive one, which would appeal to you 'dressing for dinner/murder mystery weekend' types.

'Secret' location (which is, of course, revealed in enough time to organise travel!), 'hidden' rooms, subplots and subterfuge (with instructions to follow and missions to complete).

My own personal favourite moment: being taught how to perform a Charleston routine by 'Daisy Buchanan' herself; such fun! (And yes, there was scope to dance several times over, throughout entire production).

Suitable costumes are encouraged, to further enhance the pleasure for enthusiastic audience members (and my friend and I embraced the concept wholeheartedly! Cue: half hour frantic foray into Covent Garden, Lol).

Drinks at the bar could be purchased at specifically timed junctures of the evening (instead of the traditional interval, more part of the storyline; it IS a party atmosphere after all ... in parts!).

I'm conscious of rambling on somewhat ... forgive me, I'm still excitable!
(Did I mention yet it's the most fun I've ever had at a theatre event?! Ha).

x

Audience participation sounds quite cool. Aside from Rocky Horror (I was Riff Raff, too many Frankenfurters), this is the closest. Murder mystery weekends sounds fun indeed..

Yeah.

I'm generally not permitted to wander around London, alone.

Too dangerous.
(For me or others ... not yet ascertained exactly).

Tut!

Lol.
I'll put you down as a maybe.

(There was a similar event in York, apparently ... my friend, with whom I went to the London one, is keeping eyes peeled for another; I'll keep you posted!).

Glad you got into costume. Tried to read the book, never seen the original movie but loved the sets and clothes in the remake and this version sounds fantastic...I enjoyed reading about it.
