Good choices, quite a few of mine in there..

Amy Lee, lead singer of Evanescence has a fantastic vocal range, and can "belt out" the tracks to perfection. I understand she was classically trained as a kid.

I will have to have a listen to Apocalyptica, I noticed they did a cover of metallica tracks...

Amy Lee also features on Broken by Seether on Disclaimer II (she and singer Sean Morgan were an item at the time). They never really hit the same heights after Fallen though. One of the best female voices in music.

Apocalyptica do a lot of good stuff ranging from almost thrash metal on the cello to some really classical sounding stuff. I'd suggest Hall Of Mountain King, Bring Them To Light featuring the French vocalist/guitarist Joseph Duplantier and Delusion in particular. The drummer joined round about 2005 and while they don't do vocals, they do sometimes have (as with Duplantier) guest vocals/guitar.

I'll do mine one at a time as and when I get the urge.

Hazel O'Conner, Cover Plus would be up there among the best. One of the most underrated female artists of her time. If only she wasn't so pig ugly (not her fault I know), eccentric and naive she'd have been HUGE.

There's three tracks on that album that truly stand out, Runaway, Do what You Gotta Do and That's Life. I've listened to all three a thousand times or more. Timeless and priceless they are.

They aren't easy to find (unless you got the album) but if you do, check em out.

The Black Album, The Damned.

Theres no reason for liking this album apart from it being fantastically brilliant and completely different to any previous work the Damned have produced. If you only get to hear one track then make sure its Curtain Call, 17 minutes long and takes up the whole of one side of the album. Sheer musical bliss!
