In many ways it is a pity that the EU turned out to be such a damp squib. We are, quite rightly, leaving because we resented the dictatorial attitude of the unelected commissioners of the union.
So the move now is a surge back to Nationalism, with France, Italy, Greece, Hungary and others all flexing their *exits, much to the chagrin of the French Premier, oh! and Angela.
The EU was a good progect that went wrong.
Instead of happy Europeans casually working, trading and living where they will, all secure under the EU umbrella we had a silent, suspicious, unelected group of people dedicated to forming a new United States, to which none of the 28 members ever remember being mentioned.
Such subterfuge has now come home to the EU and there is little they can do now to prevent a collapse, it will be soon.
General De Gaulle was right to try to keep us out all those years ago, for we will now be the cause of the fall of the EU!
