""A partially-blind law student says he often has to wait up to 30 minutes for a bus because one in twenty drivers are failing to stop for him. His commute to university is taking a lot longer than it should - and he says Manchester is one of the worst cities for accessibilities.""

Shame on you Mancs. It didn't used to be like this!

So he had to wait 30 minutes for a bus "once" out of 20 trips. Hardly newsworthy this is it?

I think the fact that only 1 in 20 chose to stop for him makes it of interest, certainly to caring people.
Short in Mancs, are they?

You didn't say only 1 in 20 chose to stop for him, you said 1 in 20 failed to stop for him.

Nah! It's more like not paying attention in school. I couldn't stand the subject.

I did arithmetic, that sort of made sense to me but then came fractions, algebra, and the rest and my brain sort of closed down.

In truth, this is a sad story for the disabled lad. Despite standing in designated “disabled” areas of the stop, drivers haven’t taken any notice of him. Arrival have issued notices to their depots, whilst both Stagecoach and First have offered to meet the lad..

It’s bad enough being disabled, without being further penalised for it..

Thanks for explaining that properly to us. I've never got a clue what Dongs on about half the time.
