Theresa made three visits to the Grenfell Tower site: Once to confer with our emergency services to ask what was needed, then a second visit to ensure it was provided and then a third to meet some of the people.

She doesn't need castigating for that. I am sure that what she did was far more useful than the cuddling of babies or motivating the thug army to stir things up.

It's the difference between a good Prime Minister and a wannabe...

Um. She knows what is needed. Look up the 2009 report into another tower block fire. The Tory Government did not act on its recommendations when it received the report.

Your attempt to put on May's personality is very admiral but it's too little too late.

Yet Tony Blair saved all his pocket money and personally fitted sprinklers to hundreds of high rise blocks ?

Blair has nothing to do with it. The report was published after the 2010 General Election. The Tories had the report and did nothing.

Boris Johnson even told the The London Assembly to "get stuffed" when they asked him in 2013 why was he closing ten fire stations, and cutting 552 firefighter jobs.

There was a report that the Tory government had as a result of the 2009 fire. It was upto them to act on it to minimise the danger from fires in Tower blocks. They didn't. If they had, maybe this fire would not have been so devastating.

".. you and your party have treated us in the fire brigade with contempt. My crew who got the shout at 1am this morning and finally went off duty at 5 this afternoon will still have to go in duty at 8 tonight.

"This is because there's no extra resources to cover for them. They will be like zombies, best of all most will be working part time over the next few days to make up a wage that you've cut every year for 8 years now.

"So when you're giving out your meaningless praise for our emergency services, remember we hold you in total contempt."

Don't read the threads then. It's not rocket science.
