Just seen a picture of Able Seaman (sic) Alex Stacey standing beside a Guardsman at Buck House, except Alex is a girl, not a Seaman.

She was relieving him at the changing of the guard ceremony and looked like a tiddler beside him...and: she was described as 'Able Seaman Stacey.'
This is because it is 'the Year of the Navy.'

I am trying to believe all this! [confused1.gif]

Does it matter, she serves her country as a sailor. Gender irrelevant, I doubt she cares she's called seaman, so why should anyone else.
