What happened to the blizzards and the Arctic winds as predicted by the tabloids?

I read the Sun online. They've been predicting Snow since about September. And not just any type of snow but Thunder Snow storms, Beast from the East 2 and the like. All complete bollocks of course. I'm starting to think DOA is working for them.

I disagree. Storms have become more prevalent (they even have names now) and they are extreme storms/weather.

DOA is one of those conspiracy theorists, sitting in a cupboard under the stairs, wearing a tin foil hat...

.. and not much else..

We’ve always suffered extreme weather, it just wasn’t as frequently reported as it is now... here in Yorkshire, we never heard about storms hitting Northern Ireland or Scotland... now with news 24 hours a day, it’s repeated on the hour every hour..

Doesn't alter the fact that there seems to be less weather to report these days, not like it used to be when we had proper weather, weather that came up to your neck.
Who remembers 1962...that was real weather?

The last time Brighton suffered from a thunder snow storm was 10,000 years before Christ.
