Er! I know a bit about it you see, because I was partly responsible for one of the first English brewed Danish lagers.
I was boss of marketing for the UK, among other bits and pieces and was involved in arrangements with Trumans brewery, remember them? The deal was that they produce our Danish Tuborg lager in the East end of London.
I saw to the arrival of the special hops that were then used, guiding them through Customs, and on to do their stuff.
The brew was OK but I always thought it lacked something, and the public seemed to agree.
Do you ever see Tuborg available now?
The Brewery merged with Carlsberg and I was out of a job. Hey Ho!
I soon got another one though...you could in those days.
