As it seems probable that we will all have to use face masks as we go out and about our business, and as there is a reluctance to buy them as that would seem to be depriving our wonderful care workers: I thought we ought to make our own.
So...I rummaged about in the cupboard under the stairs for the sewing machine, which has not been used, to my knowledge, for over thirty years and after a brief, hopeful, inspection gave that up. I am no repairer.
So we got out a couple of old T-shirts, cut them about a bit and sewed some strings on, needle and thread job.
This is a rubber job really as only elastic will give grip to the mask.
It kept falling down off our ears. So we gave up, in that we had no elastic and all the elastic shops are shut.
Do you think we will be issued with some by a kindly health authority?

I'd just spend the £6 and get one off etsy

https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/7930634 ... rs=1&bes=1

At least you can wash them :winedrinker:

Health authorities won't issue free masks in the UK. The numbers required for 7 days use are around 60 billion for the UK.
