more people on the streets than ever now,you get sanctioned have to wait 6 weeks for money then they pay you monthly,i talk to loads of the sally army crew at dinner times and one of the lads was saying you have 3 days of living like a king then 3 weeks of misery
well ive been to the c,a,b to appeal
i cant live without any money till the 4th of may
ive already got the landlord up my arse,

and when you finally get paid(oh its all about teaching you about money management monthly)

it wont happen people see money and think its all theirs

im luckier than most ive got a job ,well sort of

Despite the negative media propaganda about Universal Credit its actually a huge success. It was designed to get people who can work but wont back into the workplace. It was a part of the Conservative manifesto that way to many people were claiming benefits who had no right to them and were costing the country millions and they were going to do something about it. Most people agreed at the time as they were sick and tired of dole scroungers being nannied while the rest of us worked for our crust.
To date in the areas where Universal Credit was first rolled out those people out of work has decreased by over 200,000. Sometimes you have to drag these people screaming and kicking back into the work place, starving them if need be but slowly and surely they are getting the message and one by one they are starting to earn money instead of claim it.

One mistake this new scheme has made though. Trusting those on Universal Credit to pay their own rent. Most don't bother leaving landlords short and now as a consequence those on Universal Credit are being refused rental property because nobody trusts them. Pay it direct to the landlords and then there might not be so many homeless people.

And what about those who are genuinely disabled and unable to work?

I have first hand experience of people on universal credit. Leave them with no food and no money and you'll be amazed how quickly they can find a job.

Food banks should be banned. All they do is prolong the date people start working for their keep.
