Many years I go while working in London.......they housed us in a canal. It was no fun in summer with endless insects and colder than hell in the winter.
While sailing at sea, insects really don't bother you due to being so far out.
But I've been talked into wasting 100k on a new one as a "family accommodation"
"People can't always stay with you, they have jobs or university, there own lives. And Hove is so far south its impractical " I'm told.
My reply was "Can't they rent a flat or get a hotel room?" This was meet with a deafening silence.
Basically I own it, pay the bills and everyone else gets to use it. Just like my house in Hove
I've come to the conclusion living in freezing cold metal confin is a northern thing. Canal boat or caravan, they all aspire to owning one
God only knows why
While I will hand over cash for my new corsair 760 trimaran On Monday with a smile and a skip
The canal boat purchase may take a little longer.
