Wasn't it these same institutions and many more besides that predicted the downturn that would start immediately after the referendum result and couldnt have got it more wrong?

Fpr somebody who lives in Britain and has far more political knowledge than me you sure got the date of Theresa depature completely wrong. By about 2 1/2 years wasnt it?

It may be obvious to some that the apparent decay of our economy is due to a threatened Brexit, when nothing could be further from the truth.
It is the pause between great innovations that is causing the bother.
The age of carbon is giving way to other means of power, and this takes time.
Producers of, EG. Cars cannot just go on producing cars just as we do not want to buy them: yet. So they hide under the duvet until there are signs of an improvement.
As the miners found out, and the car makers will...there is little governments can do when whole industries fold.
It's not a strike, it's not a recession, it's not Brexit...
it's a pause.
