That's it; all over...'till next year. Did you have a good one? Ours was sort of strange. We went to the daughter's for our Xmas. She did her best, poor thing, but...she shouldn't have served the food almost cold. She likes talking better than dishing up. Then there was her son, my Gson, who has gone vegan and wouldn't eat with us because he felt sorry for the turkey. So he just sat and looked at us...……...Spooky! He didn't like sprouts either so Goodness knows what he ate. The Gdaughter had been to a party the night before and I am sure she had a hang-over. She's only 15, big with it though, in a nice way. Let's say I wouldn't let Coz anywhere near her. Mrs D got a tad sulky 'cos it was her turn to drive so no egg nog for her. I did alright!
My SILs parents were there too, him with his breathing apparatus and her with her bad back, They were worse than us, me and Mrs D. We ended up talking health issues and other such compulsory and interesting subjects whilst the rest watched boring old TV.
Then we played a few games, everyone got cross with someone, so then we went home.
Poor old other Gparents. They were driven home by their son and got stuck on the M4 for five hours.
now; we.ve got some cold turkey and some of that italian cake that i like but daren't eat........Anyone?

I got stuck on the family pilgrimage to Israel and only got home today.

Family members came in from Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Some spending a few days in the UK before flying on to Israel.

With airport issues and 40 year old family feuds it was never going to be a "happy" event. It never was.

So why do it?

With family spread out around the world after the wave of 1960's immigration, it's hard to relate. Younger members are reminded of their roots, old one make up for years of missed moaning.

Welcome to the league of grumpy old men.

I had a perfect Christmas. No complaints at all.

Who didn't have the Xmas they expected was my son. He is locked in Saudi Arabia this year, he came home last year though. His problem was pups. He agreed to look after a friends dog whilst the friend was on holiday. Turned out to be a biatch and it turned out 5 puppies on Xmas eve, which was interesting.

Now he's gonna keep one. How he'll manage with all the travelling he does I know not.

It's all black and looks like a cross between a Scottie and a terrier. Does that make it a Scottier….or a Terrotty?
