I was looking in Lush today and they wanted £8 for a bit of soap

So I pop on ebay and picked 10 bars up for £1.99 + £3 Postage :whee:
They look just as posh :snooty:

Don't worry there not for me, just for basins in the bogs here

Good shaving soaps always been over £10, but shaving soap lasts for months. I'm still using the same refill from Jan.

Why is the price of regular soap going so high? How can a chain like Lush get away with selling soap for £8 [shrug65465.gif]

Lush are a little more up market. Most of their products are hand made. They don’t advertise, nor buy from companies that have used animal testing for their products.

It’s worth that little bit more..

Its years since I last bought soap. Whats wrong with the hand cleaner you get in those little bottles?

Its to do with cross contamination, using less plastic and air travel.

Hand cleaner bottles are coated with whatever the last person had on there hands. No one washes their hands and then washes the bottle.

The bottles end up in the bin after use.

Soap is cleaned with hot water when you wash your hands and comes with less packaging.

With airports refusing to allow liquids in hand luggage, shampoo bars and hand soap have been making a come back for years.

And this is the reason I was in Lush today. They sell a good shampoo bar for £7.50 and a travel tin with the "Lush" logo for another £2.50. Even I wont spend £10 on a bar a soap.

On long haul flights yes. If you ever fly to Australia, its better to pay for a first class ticket than economy.
I worked out it was cheaper to pay for first class than take the stopovers. You get a bed and access to showers.

The money I've wasted in Hong Kong and Singapore on over priced hotels and taxis

I once did 5k in Japan in 48 hours :peekaboo:

If your traveling alone and over 40.....spend the 6-8k on first class and never leave the aircraft [thumbsup.png]

You spending the firms money, or your own, BG?

Surely no one spends their own money on first class travel!
