After another school shooting in America, everyone seems to be ordering bulletproof back packs. The chat on the gaming forums is mostly where to buy them and do they work?

This vid's been discus at length too. I love the idea school books can stop machine gun bullets. [rofl02.gif]

We have no where near the gun crime of America. Our gun laws are good and Police armed when necessary.

Is there a need for bulletproof backpacks in the UK?......... Maybe

Our problem is random terrorist bombing that have been going on since the 70's. If these backpacks can stop bullets, they should stop nails from a nail bomb or flying glass. If I was a parent with younger children I'd consider it.

People tend to run away from bullets.. I’d hazard a guess, a backpack might be useful..

The odd's of dying in a fire are around 1 in 250,000. Are smoke alarms really necessary too Pete [shrug65465.gif]

I don't think this is a matter of too much time on our hands. The never ending stream of "terror alerts" from those morons parasites in government means the threat is real.

The chances of anyone being the victim of gun crime or terrorism outside cites like London are slim. Even in Brighton its been almost 2 years since our last drive by shooting.

I am reading reviews on these backpacks and will order soon for younger members of my family. For £200 for a good one its a bit of a no brainier and removes some risk.

And none of them are dying before me :snooty:
