Any gamers on here? Then you should be ashamed of yourselves.
It must be obvious to even the lame brained that a constant exposure to violence and all the other unsavoury things that games offer are harming society, and especially our children.
The slide into corruption and savagery of recent years is a by product of games, and also some other media agendas.
Why do we allow these things, and don't quote me 'Human Rights.'
Bring back Mary Whitehouse should be our cry.

As a kid, we’d grab a stick, pretend it was a gun and run round killing Germans.. throw rocks (grenades) at each other..

I’m surprised all 50-somethings aren’t urban terrorists..

OK! But I don't suppose that a child's imagination, in those days, matched in any way the foulness and the savage corruption and violence of the 'games' available today.

BTW...Do we still have film censors and Adult, or not films?

When was the last time you heard of anything being censored?

Parents can censor television programs here. Lol. Have to be home to do that. It my opinion no matter what..children always find ways of doing and seeing things as they assume parents never tried those same things when they younger. Well we all did. It is a shame however, not safe for children to walk in areas with out some shooting or fly by not occurring here in some of our neighborhoods. Today's children have grown up in violence, around it have seen, heard, or read about it. Even the very very young taught in school about "strangers, accepting rides, candy."

Back in the day, we used to be savagely beaten by our parents, subjected to clouds of cigarette smoke in our living rooms and eat lard..

And that's why we turned out so good. We had it hard, but it was good for us.
Like Lard is now an in thing so will giving kids a swipe round the ears be...you just wait and see.
And then two years mandatory social and/or military service. That'll bring them into line.

Have to agree with this last quote it has got too wishy washy in society.
However although I’m not a gamer, games are age related, and it’s the responsibility of the parents to ensure their child only play age relevant games. I don’t think an 18 game is going to turn many 18 year olds from saints to terrorists. That sadly comes from soppy arsed upbringing not games alone.

Thing is, the games will always be out there, available to anybody, regardless of any age guide on the pack.
It must be obvious to all that exposure to the filth, the violence, the sheer joy of killing and maiming people, must de-sensitise all who buy them and it is as obvious that a given number will react violently.
Maybe it is you that could be the next victim!!!!!
