I'm always fitting these for friends

Let's start with how they work.

Are they worth the money?

Hmmm...

They sell for around £50

There not hard to install, but they only have a 5 year life span. There good for boilers and showers.
But there no replacement for proper water softeners

When our kettle gets fouled up we find a handful of soda soon clears it away.
Make you tea taste funny though, after.
