I've been ask about the Intex Challenger K1 Kayak.

They sell for around £64.99 + £12.98 Shipping on amazon.

I think these came to market around 5 years ago and have sold well around the world.
The best way to describe this "kayak" is an a fun boat for a day on the water. I have used one and there not bad on flat water or seas.

Its not close to a tootega pulse, but its not trying to be missing a lot of the features.

Would I buy one.....

If you want to get out on the water and want a cheap boat you can paddle for the odd summer day, yes it's worth trying out for the price. Remember you still need to wear a life jacket or buoyancy aid when using it. Never go out on a boat without one.

Given the growth and popularity of inflatable paddle boards in the last few years, this kayak is a good alternative for those who want to sit down.

If you like kayaking it's worth spending £400 on something like the tootega pulse or a bic sport rigid from decathlon. Its worth looking around on ebay or gumtree for a second hand one too. Its another case of what you pay for you get.

Personally I'd always go for a rigid over an inflatable, there just less trouble in the long run.

I've been asked:

Who makes the best inflatable kayak

Most people say: Advanced Elements

This one sells for around £600

https://www.advancedelementskayaks.co.u ... ter-kayak/

There basically bulletproof and some come with a "backbone" [shrug65465.gif]

Are they worth the money [confused1.gif]

If you have no room to store or transport a rigid kayak....... then maybe

If I was going to spend grand on a kayak... I'd get something like a Mega krazy kahuna :winedrinker:
