Talking of power cuts...we had one today. Lasted for about an hour, right in the middle of me breakfast. Me sausages weren't cooked!
Makes you think though of just how precarious our way of living is! Life seems to end when the power goes and everyone is running around like a scalded chicken. (CLUCK).

Someone asked me why the Corsairs 880 and not the Dragonfly 28 [shrug65465.gif]

The base price of a Dragonfly 28 is 140k compared to Corsair 880 which is 80k.

And after walking around the Dragonfly, I didn't like the interior and hated all the round hatchets. Wondering how many times my feet would end up in the toilet too. Feeling those round hatchets were going to cost a fortune to replace in the back of my mind. You just can't buy them off the shelf like the normal ones.

Dragonfly's focus seem sailing only and that's not my concern. When the weather turns and trapped you below deck, you don't want an open plan toilet or areas you can't close off for a bit of privacy.

I was asked today:

Why a trimaran [shrug65465.gif]

Well basically speed and flexibility.

A trimaran will sail in little wind and reach speeds of 15-30 miles per hour.
A single hull boat will make around 5-12 miles per hour.
A catamaran will make around 10-20 miles per hour.

They don't make a fold up catamarans with home comforts, only trimarans.

And I'm not plodding along at 5 miles per hour....it's no fun [9n5.gif]

I'm trying to keep on subject :snooty:

Watch this:

In my younger days I'd love to have tried out a hydrofoil catamaran. I'd love to buy one now too [flash.gif]

My fitness wont allow it :crying:
