Be afraid? I'm shivering in me socks.
Just read an article that explains how old people in care homes will be looked after by............ROBOTS!
I don't see it really, not yet but I am sure it's on it's way to us.
Fancy being woken each morning by some steel and plastic machine.
'Your tea, sir. Hurry up and drink it as I have to do your bath. And try not to spread your breakfast all over your sheets, I am going rusty, wiping it up every morning and it would help if you called for a bed pan rather than letting rip everywhere, honestly; you humans...How did you ever manage without us, now, roll over, so that I can clean you up!

PS
""The humanoid companions, which are equipped with artificial intelligence, will be able to recognise the needs and emotions of frail, elderly residents.
They will take the strain off overburdened care workers and as they get to know their charges will adapt their conversations to subjects of interest to them.""

Oh Yeah? Fancy one wiping your ass?
