Smart lighting is lights you can turn on and off using the computer or your phone. If you have "Amazon Alexa", you can ask for lights to go on and off too. The bulbs have a wifi adaptor built in. No need to rewire or call out an electrician: if you can change a light bulb, you can fit these.

If your out and you want people to think your in, you can turn on the lights from anywhere.

There a good idea if you can't be arsed to move off the sofa like me

And it's one of those jobs......I wish I'd never started [9n5.gif]

First you need a adapter, they cost £50.

Then "SMART MOTION SENSORS" for hallways, There £35 each.

The bulbs are £15 each there the normal bayonet fitting.

Its costing me around £100 per floor to fit and I have a 5 level house. I've not started on bathrooms yet, but they need smart motion sensors and edison screw bulbs.

And forget the kitchen..... I'm not fcuking around with all those lights [9n5.gif]

Over all I love this system. Walk thru the front door and the hallway lights come on automatically, leave the hallways and the lights go off after 5 mins. Before going to bed, I can light my way without looking for light switches in the dark and turn them off while in bed afterwards.

If you have kids who feel turning off lights when they leave a room is "uncool" this might be a solution.

The price of installing smart lighting really comes down to the size of your home. If you have 6 areas to light the price is reasonable and this system will pay for itself over time by reducing your electricity bill.

Well! I'm not much for hard work these days but even I can manage to turn on, or off, the odd light switch, and I come free.
Phew. Just saved myself £hundreds.

This is one of the most useful things I've ever put in. I was able to turn on all the lights while walking home. It makes a big difference in the dark and going into the winter months.

In our house it takes 4 people to replace a light bulb. If we adopt your service we could get a tad crowded! [giggle.gif]

Smart light bulbs last for 22 years or so I'm told [shrug65465.gif]
They run at 8 watts instead of 11 watts like my old ones......with 20 odd lights dotted around the place its a saving of 1/3 on electric :winedrinker:
