The Americans have released both of these in time for halloween.

The haunting of hill house is a book you should never read alone and be sat on the toilet. This book scared the shit out of me :peekaboo:

I'm not watching the tv show for that reason :snooty:

Light as a feather is more teen horor and I may give it a go :shifty:

I'm on the second episode of this, and I can't seem to think what all the hype is about. [adrian.gif]

I've only just notice the proud words of our leader [rofl02.gif]

The Haunting of Hill House was first published in 1953.

The first film based on the book was the The Haunting in 1963
The remake was in 1999.

The hype that Scouse is referring to is over the tv series. The tv series is claimed to be the scariest series ever shown on. Non of the reported "hype" is relevant to a film made before most people were even born and have never seen.

I didn’t find the haunting of hill house overly scary in the typical jump out your skin type horror. It was far more subtle, chilling if you like, drew you in, and they did the going from the now and then perfectly, it ran from one part to another in a way that wasn’t trying to be too far ahead or clever, but made sense at virtually every point, but held you emotionally in a way I enjoyed.
I found it an incredibly good watch and enjoyed it immensely.
