Well, yes I did; so I went to the e e shop, Went in and sat down where I was told...and waited.
And waited.
And waited.
So, having once been trained on how to cope with situations such as this I bellowed, in the busy shop."How long do I have to wait here, or shall I come back when it suits you better?"
A chap who was not brilliant with the English language looked at me and I beckoned him, bless him...He came.
Look, I said, I want a replacement for this, My wife came in yesterday for one and you sold her this. It is not fit for purpose and I want my money back, or a suitable replacement.
"We do not do returns or money backs," he said.
I took a deep breathn and showed him the back of my receipt, "says here you do, I said. I want the manager". (OOOH I can be really forceful when my wife is with me.)
He disappeared, then reappeared, with a box in his hand. This one may be better for you, he said. I reckon someone had had a word with him. (I had already told him that the one sold to me was U/S as the screen was too small and the sound too weak. ( have a minor hearing defect).
So, we agreed on the updated mobile (they don't make many that are not smart phones these days).
Since then I have been trying to understand it, in that the tiny, unreadable sheet of instructions is not compatible with my new mobile. GGGRRRRRRRR!
I may be away for some time.

Dong your a fcuking moron and I mean sub Cosy on the moron scale [9n5.gif]

Let me try and save you a little money

Let's say each month you put £10 on your phone. You can't make that many calls and need to keep an eye on it.

See:

https://ee.co.uk/help/add-ons-benefits- ... ts-add-ons

If you spend a £7.50 each month you can get unlimited calls and texts on a 30 day rolling contract.

What is a 30 day rolling contract?

A 30 day contract means just that: after 30 days you can end it.
Move you number and then bin the sim card.

You don't have to pay them another penny. They don't own your phone and cant stop you from moving to another company.

If you like it, they renew contract automatically each month until you tell them to stop.

Here is my 30 day rolling contract:

https://smarty.co.uk/plans/small

I don't use the mobile dada junk and they knock the price down to a £5 each month for unlimited calls and texts :winedrinker:

So you can carry on paying for "pay as you go" and watching your call time or say fcuk it and go unlimited. And yes it means there's no need to keep a landline phone or pay for call charges ever again.

Don't think this is for me.
I spend so little on me mobile that it is not worth the bother. Payg suits me fine.

Still, thanks for the info, and the intelligence ratio. [50_50.gif]
