Up until this year, I'd never have had him as Liverpool captain either, but under Klopp, he's come on leaps and bounds. He was England's best player on Saturday. I think it's a good appointment.

I'll be honest, Henderson has surprised me. I didn't want him at Liverpool last season and rated Can the better midfielder. I'm happy to admit I was wrong.

Sturridge up front for England tonight. I think that's a good move too. He'll fit in better in an England shirt, than a liverpool one.

Poor display tonight. Slovenia set up to play a strong-armed game and England couldn't deal with it..

Rooney did nothing, England were poor...

Fair play to Slovenia, they kept England corralled..

sturridge not much better , vision of a bat , sees fcuk all around him

worst england team ive seen in years , on the pich and on paper

You're idea of "giving someone flack" is a little limp-wristed.. I was responding to Thin's post about Rooney. As you failed to mention, I'd already said the whole team was poor.. Henderson and Sturridge included.

You're doing it again... when someone disagrees with you, be it myself, tabby or fastcars, you quickly turn it around and make it about the poster and not the post. Are your arguments so weak, you feel you have to deflect all the time.

.. and in my humble opinion, Rose and Lingard were England's worst players.
