so where do they go from here?
there will be no marquee signings, the top top players want champions league not the uefa cup
I remember a few years back it was an achievement to get into Europe but not now
all those away trips to Ukraine, isael, bulgaria etc
on a Thursday playing on a sunday, theres no chance any team could win the prem league with that schedule just more injuries than anything
besides sterling gets tired on planes
time to rebuild then|?
well er wasn't that last season when they spent 1000m
you cant rebuild every year
so lets have a look at the squad who stays who goes

mignolet,to erratic for me a proper flapper,,go
Johnson, out of contract he aint staying go
Enrique,doesnt matter hes off anyway
manquilo, hes just way out of his depth go
ya yas bro,he could do a good job for a championship side, cardiff, blackburn etc go
borini,useless no loyalty go
lambert, yeh right better off at maybe Rotherham burnley go
balotelli,oh balo spectacular season at citys first prem title but hes burned out now hes a joke go
loveren, confidence has been shattered bit of a shithouse go
sakho,he will never make it a fckn useless lump go
Moreno, seems all over the place needs to have a settled position but not worth being patient with go
skrtel, well hes ok but not getting any younger prone to own goals and silly mistakes go
can,cant go
Henderson, looks like jes going to be the nucleus of lfc stay
allen,im sorry but I just don't rate him at all bit of a wimp when the going gets tough go
coutinho,ah now theres a player id say stay but I think some big team will come in for him he needs the champs league ,going
lallana, jurys out on him is he actually any good
staying squad player
lucas
yeh good player but hes never going to change a game for you ,go
ibe
he will be a 3 month wonder then will hit the booze, birds drug trail, sell him before its too late,go
sterling,see above
markovic, classy at times but very dodgy,go
sturridge
ive watched him for years since city youth team
class act but very very injury prone, stay but you will only have 15 games a season out of him

so if Brendan is staying youd better get cracking lad

thoughts?

Not good enough..

Rodgers was never going to be able to replace Suarez, but he didn't appear to try, signing Balotelli and Lambert. Dropping to a back three would have been a good idea, except he put Can, a midfielder in there, when we had defenders.

The team scored 52 goals this season, the same as Suarez and Sturridge scored between themselves last year.. Rodgers won't attract top players now and the owners have to decide if they want to give him another cheque, or look elsewhere. They'll need to do it sharpish, as the best two candidates are already being touted at other clubs.

Benitez has made no secret that he'd love to manage in England again... and Liverpool fans have already admitted he'd be welcomed back. He would attract top players too..

But my choice would be Klopp. The Dortmund manager has done wonders and his style of play would suit Liverpool... and players want to play for him..

KloppfortheKop in, Kyriakos Papadopoulos from Leverkusen... Can into midfield where he belongs. Leave Origi in France and bring in Benteke and Danny Ings, two strikers who can score in this league..

What we don't want is to spend bucketfuls of money on six or seven mediocre players who have no premier league experience and couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat..

No, he had his chance, he fluffed it. Time to move on. Klopp preferably, or Benitez again..

#kloppforthekop has taken off big style with photo's of Jurgen tapping the famous "This is Anfield" sign last year when Dortmund played a pre-season friendly..

Rogers got the green light for next season to stay with Liverpool

[thewave.gif]

It had been claimed in the last week Rodgers wanted changes made to FSG's way of running transfers by a committee but the suggestion is there was an harmonious accord struck between all parties.
As a result "the group will move forward together".

They (RTE news) are also saying the Milner is going from City to Liverpool.
